The Jarboe Foundation | Thanksgiving Project
When we think about Thanksgiving dinner, we often think about the main meal first. But sometimes, it's the little extras that help make a holiday feel complete.
For The Jarboe Foundation, that includes Thanksgiving pies.
Our annual Thanksgiving Project brings together food, volunteers, donors, and community partners to help local families facing hardship. Every part of the effort matters, from gathering the groceries to organizing packages and coordinating deliveries.
Pies are one of those finishing touches that can turn a collection of groceries into something that feels more like a holiday meal.
But when you're preparing Thanksgiving support for hundreds of families, even a relatively small item adds up quickly. At approximately $5 per pie, providing one for every household we support is a meaningful expense when multiplied across the entire project.
That's where community sponsorship makes a difference.
A business, organization, or individual sponsor can help cover the cost of an item like this, allowing more of the Foundation's other resources to go toward food and assistance for families.
It's also a reminder that community support doesn't always have to look like a large donation. Sometimes, sponsoring one specific part of a project is a practical way to make a direct impact.
Our 2026 Thanksgiving Project has grown beyond our original goal. We're now supporting 210 families, and we're thankful for the donors, volunteers, and community partners who help us meet that need.
Every contribution helps bring the project together.
